David Bradford, M.D.

Dr. David Bradford is Professor and Chairman Emeritus at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He has focused on the treatment of spinal disorders for over 35 years.

Dr. Bradford's specific interests and referrals include complex spine deformity (scoliosis, kyphosis, and spondylolisthesis) and salvage re-do surgery, along with degenerative conditions of the lumbar and cervical spine. He is a former President of the Spinal Research Society. He is a recipient of numerous awards in science and spinal research, including the Scoliosis Research Society Russell Hibbs Award and the Volvo Award in Basic Science.

Dr. Bradford serves on the editorial boards of Spine, Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research, Journal of Orthopedic Research, Spine Journal, Spine Letter, and AOA News. He currently sits on the Scientific Advisory Boards of Orquest, Nuvasive, Cbyon, and SpineUniverse. He received his B.A. from Dickinson College and M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
